Manual CVEDIA-RT Integration with NX-like VMS

If you're running a flavor of NX-like VMS that is not covered by this documentation it means it's not supported by the automated installers, so you will have to manually install it.

Windows manual setup

  1. Download and install VC++ redist
  2. Download Windows ZIP file from rt.cvedia.com
  3. Extract
  4. Rename the folder files to cvedianxplugin
  5. Move cvedianxplugin to your VMS' MediaServer\plugins\ folder, default install path for NX is like C:\Program Files\Network Optix\Nx Witness\MediaServer\plugins
  6. Restart your VMS server
  7. Open your VMS client and go on Camera Settings, you should see CVEDIA-RT in the plugins tab

Linux manual setup

  1. Install CVEDIA-RT .deb package compatible with your OS
  2. Install CVEDIA-RT NX plugin .deb package compatible with your OS
  3. Copy /opt/cvedia-rt to your mediaserver's plugin install path, eg: /opt/networkoptix/mediaserver/bin/plugins/cvedianxplugin
  4. Restart mediaserver service
  5. Open your VMS client and go on Camera Settings, you should see CVEDIA-RT in the plugins tab

After Installation

After confirming that the plugin is visible within your client, you can proceed to configure the analytics.

The configuration process is identical across all NX-like VMS platforms. Please refer to the NX Witness Configuration Guide for detailed instructions on setting up analytics, detection zones, and system administration options.
