Release Notes - CVEDIA-RT - 2026.1.3

Info

This is a patch release for CVEDIA-RT version 2026.1.0, containing bug fixes and improvements across the Milestone XProtect plugin, NX Witness plugin, SecuRT analytics, and the RT Server engine. All users of version 2026.1.0, 2026.1.1, or 2026.1.2 are recommended to upgrade to this version.

For a full list of changes in previous versions, please refer to the 2026.1.0 release notes, 2026.1.1 release notes, and 2026.1.2 release notes.

Plugin for Milestone XProtect

Compatibility Notes

The CVEDIA-RT Plugin for Milestone XProtect version 2026.1.3 (plugin 6.2) is compatible with Milestone XProtect from version 2023 R2 to version 2025 R3.

The Milestone XProtect Express+ edition is supported.

Improvements

  • Significantly faster event search: Event search has been reworked for much better performance. The plugin now queries the Event Server for multiple cameras and event types simultaneously instead of one at a time. Results stream to the search panel progressively as they are found, so you see the first results much sooner rather than waiting for the entire search to complete. This is especially noticeable when searching across many cameras or on systems with higher network latency.
  • Automatic detection of unavailable Event Server: If the Event Server becomes unreachable during a search, the plugin now detects this and immediately stops the search with a notification, instead of hanging indefinitely.
  • More accurate playback time ranges for search results: When clicking on event search results for duration-based events (such as loitering end or intrusion end), the video playback now shows the correct segment of the recording.
  • Separate log files for Smart Client and Management Client: Log files are now split by process, making it easier to troubleshoot issues. Each process writes to its own log file instead of sharing a single log.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed event loss after network reconnection: Resolved an issue where the plugin could stop receiving events after a temporary network interruption because message filters were not always re-registered on reconnection.
  • Improved reconnection reliability: The reconnection logic is now event-driven, reacting immediately to connection state changes rather than waiting for a polling interval. Concurrent reconnection attempts are also prevented.

Default Changes

  • Access Control events disabled by default: Access Control (Plate) and Access Control (Face) events are now disabled by default for new installations. Existing installations are not affected. These features can still be enabled manually in the plugin preferences.

Plugin for NX Witness / Piko / Wave / DWG

Compatibility Notes

The CVEDIA-RT Plugin for NX Witness version 2026.1.3 has been validated on NX Witness 6.1.

New Features

  • Added support for Sharpvue iVision: The plugin installer now supports Sharpvue iVision as an NX-based VMS variant, automatically detecting and configuring the plugin for Sharpvue iVision Media Servers.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed crash on Linux with many cameras: Resolved a crash affecting NX Witness deployments on Linux servers with approximately 200 or more cameras. The server discovery mechanism could cause the NX Media Server process to abort when the number of open connections exceeded an internal system limit. This is now fixed.

CVEDIA-RT Analytics

Improvements

  • Improved clothing color accuracy: Reduced false secondary color detections for upper and lower body clothing attributes. A new confidence-ratio filter suppresses spurious color readings that are significantly weaker than the dominant detected color (e.g., a person wearing a solid blue shirt will no longer intermittently report secondary colors from shadows or folds). This improvement is enabled by default and requires no configuration changes.

Windows Installer

Bug Fixes

  • /TRIAL parameter support: The /TRIAL parameter is now properly propagated through the entire installer chain. When running silent installations via the NX Witness Thin Client or Milestone Connector installers, you can use /TRIAL=false to skip trial license activation. Previously, the trial license was always activated during silent installs regardless of the parameter.
