Plugin for Milestone XProtect

Compatibility Notes

The CVEDIA-RT Plugin for Milestone XProtect version 2026.1.2 (plugin 6.1) is compatible with Milestone XProtect from version 2023 R2 to version 2025 R1.

The Milestone XProtect Express+ edition is now supported.

New Features

  • Highlighted bounding boxes for specific events: Bounding boxes are now visually highlighted for objects triggering armed person, fallen person, and loitering events, making it easier to identify the relevant object in the scene.

Improvements

  • Reduced recording storage usage: ONVIF bounding box metadata has been optimized to significantly reduce disk space consumption. Objects are now grouped by timestamp into shared frames and sent in a single message, eliminating redundant data.
  • Smarter bounding box display in recordings: When reviewing recorded events, bounding boxes now only appear from the moment the event started, rather than showing the full track history. This provides a cleaner playback experience focused on the relevant activity.
  • Faster instance recovery: Analytics instances that fail due to a temporary Recording Server disconnection are now retried immediately when the server reconnects, instead of waiting for the next scheduled retry cycle.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bounding boxes missing in Smart Search playback: Resolved an issue where bounding boxes would sometimes not appear when reviewing search results for cameras with multiple metadata devices.
  • Fixed authentication issue: Resolved a problem where the Connector Service could lose its authentication session with the Milestone Management Server. The service now properly handles expired sessions and performs a full restart if re-authentication fails.

CVEDIA-RT Analytics

Improvements

  • Improved armed person detection: Restored two-stage verification for the armed person attribute, reducing false positives and improving detection accuracy.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed crowd estimation geometry filter: Resolved an issue where the geometry filter for crowd estimation areas was not applied correctly, which could cause inaccurate counting in filtered regions.
