RT Server¶
RT Server is CVEDIA-RT's production-ready deployment mode designed for headless operation in server environments. Unlike RT Studio which provides a visual interface for development and testing, RT Server runs without a GUI and provides programmatic control through REST API and Web Panel interfaces.
Key Features¶
- Headless Operation: No GUI - optimized for server deployments
- REST API: Complete programmatic control and monitoring
- Web Panel: Browser-based administration interface
- Service Mode: Native Windows service and Linux daemon support
- Production Ready: Designed for 24/7 operation and high availability
Use Cases¶
RT Server is ideal for:
- Production Deployments: Live monitoring systems running on dedicated servers
- Custom Integrations: Applications that need programmatic control via REST API
- Edge Servers: Headless devices without displays
- Scalable Architectures: Multiple RT Server instances managed centrally
- Cloud Deployments: Container-based deployments in cloud environments
RT Server vs RT Studio¶
Feature | RT Server | RT Studio |
---|---|---|
Purpose | Production deployment | Development & testing |
Interface | Web Panel + REST API | Desktop GUI |
Operation | Headless/service mode | Interactive desktop |
Use Case | Live production systems | Solution development |
Control | Programmatic | Visual tools |
Getting Started¶
- Running RT Server - Installation and startup options
- Web Panel - Browser-based administration
- REST API Integration - Programmatic control and monitoring
Architecture¶
RT Server provides the same core CVEDIA-RT capabilities as RT Studio but optimized for server environments:
- Same inference engines and plugin architecture
- Same solution templates and configurations
- Same performance characteristics
- Remote management instead of local GUI
This makes it easy to develop solutions with RT Studio and deploy them with RT Server without modification.
