Log files

CVEDIA-RT produces a new log file on every run.

Accessing Log Files on Windows

CVEDIA-RT log files are typically stored in C:\ProgramData\CVEDIA\ which is a hidden folder. To access it, either enable the "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" option, or enter the full path directly into the address bar using (Ctrl+L).

RT Studio

Windows

The log files are saved in: C:\ProgramData\CVEDIA\CVEDIA-RT\files\logs

RT Service

Windows

The log files are saved in: C:\ProgramData\CVEDIA\CVEDIA-RT\files\logs

Docker

If you are running RT through Docker in background mode, you can collect them from within docker by docker logs.

VMS Plugin for NX Witness, NX Meta, Piko, Wisenet WAVE, DW Spectrum, AlphaVS

The log files are stored in your VMS install folder. If our plugin fails to start you may not have CVEDIA-RT logs, so it's important to also send us NX logs for proper debugging.

Windows

  • CVEDIA-RT logs: C:\Program Files\<VMS Path>\MediaServer\plugins\cvedianxplugin\logs

  • NX logs: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\<VMS Path>\Network Optix Media Server\log

Note

To open NX logs folder you need to run explorer as Administrator

Linux Native

  • CVEDIA-RT logs: /opt/<VMS Path>/mediaserver/bin/plugins/cvedianxplugin/logs

  • NX logs: /opt/<VMS Path>/mediaserver/var/log

Linux Docker

  • CVEDIA-RT logs: /opt/cvedia-rt/logs

  • NX logs: /opt/cvedia-rt/<VMS Path>/mediaserver/var/log

VMS Plugin for Milestone XProtect

The XProtect plugin consists of multiple components, each with their own log locations:

  • CVEDIA-RT Server logs: C:\ProgramData\CVEDIA\CVEDIA-RT-XProtect-Plugin\Server\files\logs\

  • XProtect Connector service logs: C:\ProgramData\CVEDIA\Logs\XProtect-Connector

  • XProtect Plugin frontend logs: C:\ProgramData\CVEDIA\Logs\XProtect-Plugin
